Hi There. I have a 24-inch IMAC that needs more memory (RAM and HD). I have some rams and a hard disk installed on another Imac (2010) which apparently needs a new logic board. Do you guys know if I can install the rams and HD from the Imac 2010 into Imac 2008? Please advise. Thanks in advance!

we need specific model numbers or dates in order to help.

but roughly looking at it, the mid 2010 iMac takes 1333 MHz PC3-10600 DDR3 SO DIMM, 204 pin
the mid 2008 24 inch uses 800 MHz PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM, 200 pin

so my guess is gonna be NO. the types, speeds and pin numbers don't match. RAM is cheap anyways.

I had a similar problem on one of my iMacs and it ended up being a power supply and a logic board. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar or if there is an independent computer repair shop who services Macs might also be an option.
