Installing Mac OS on a Old Mac......

I installed a macOS 10.5.6 on a 2006 Mac, But it's so much laggy and frequently stuck.What do you guys think about that.Is it a falt of the macOS image I used or a hardware problem.

I think it is laggy because the iMac's hardware is old and the software is new made for newer hardware.
It is like giving a smartphone to an old man, will he be able to use it? No, because his old. Same thing applies here

You could probably speed up your Mac by installing more RAM memory and also upgrade the hard drive to a SSD.
