Trash Can Bug

Just recently got a bug on my Trash Can in my dock.

It occurred before updating to 10.11.5 on my iMac 27" 5K Retina Late 2015.

If I do a reboot, my trash can icon changes to match the last icon in the dock, so for example in the image below its the GOG Galaxy app.

When I send something to the trash, it changes to the full trash icon, and when I empty the trash it changes back to the empty trash can icon.

Its not a horrendous bug, just frustrating. Some kind of cache needs clearing perhaps?

Any thoughts?

Wow, I've never experienced anything like that..EVER...Anyway, hopefully someone who can supply a definitive answer will reply soon.

This terminal entry below is used to reset the Launcher, when the progress bar gets stuck. I wonder if something similar for the trash can, would work...

defaults write com.apple.dock ResetLaunchPad -bool true; killall Dock

Nope, just tried that command, which does reset the dock, but the icon returned to the GOG.com icon again.

Not sure what else to try to be honest. Don't think its harmful, but annoying.
