why is my networked iMac not visible from Win 10 pc?

Just replaced my Win 10 pc with an iMac. My partner has a Win 10 laptop. We have a wi-fi network and each Win 10 machine's shared files were visible/accessible from the other Win 10 machine on our wi-fi network.

After replacing my Win 10 with an iMac, I successfully made the Win 10's shared files accessible/visible from the iMac.

But, accessing shared file in the reverse direction is not working - that is, from our Win 10 laptop, we cannot get the iMac computer to appear when viewing our home network.

We have tried the process/how-to's from various sources on the web. I cannot find any document that tells me why the iMac does not show when viewing the home network (wi-fi) from the Win 10 machine.

Help!

I had already tried those instructions at that link - unsuccessful.

I expect that I have overlook some "obvious-to-everyone" field setting.

So, any other suggestions still greatly appreciated.
