Why can't I download any music on My Music onto my iMac?

I can't download any on My Music onto my imac

Suddenly every song in my iTunes library has a cloud with an exclamation mark next to it and I can't download to my fully up to date iMac. will download on the iPhone 6 i just purchased moved to from droid turbo yesterday. even songs i have recently purchased as well as tunes that I had copied into my iTunes library from cps years ago.
