Setting up email

This post may be in the wrong place but I am not sure where it should go. I just bought a brand new imac and am confused about setting up email using the mail app. I have an outlook email account that is set up as an exchange account on both my iphone and ipad. When I tried to set it up like this on my imac I was prompted to enter the server location. I was unable to find this anywhere so I went ahead and set it up as a pop account. Now when I delete an email it stays on my iphone and ipad. Is there anyway to set this up my outlook account as an exchange account on my imac? Please??

You cannot setup Outlook mail using the exchange setup in OS X. Unless something has changed, MS only allows Exchange ActiveSync on mobile devices, excluding laptops.

Set it up as IMAP. The Outlook.com support site has complete directions to do it.
