Can I remove selected songs from iCloud music library?

I want to remove songs from playing on portable devices, but remain on my mac to play when I choose. I have some songs (Holiday) that show removed in iCloud status,
but I can't seem to repeat this. I have both Apple music and Match enabled.

If your use of the term 'portable devices" include the iPhone and iPod Touch then open the Music app, select the song(s) you want to remove, tap on the 3 dots (...) and then select "Delete" and then "Remove Download". Doing so will remove the song(s) from the device but should NOT affect the items on your Mac.
