I have added files on iCloud drive on an iMac but files are not shown on Macbook?

I have added files on iCloud drive on an iMac but files are not shown on Macbook

iCloud is loaded on both devices so i thought once it is added on one that the other would receive, internet is on for both

Welcome to iMore! Two things:
1. Are you signed into the same iCloud account on both devices?
2. How much time have you given it? It sometimes takes a while to upload the files and then sync them over to your other devices. You may just need to wait a while.
