iCloud mail search

Hi

What is the best way to search for emails on iOS 9 in my iCloud mail account. I've tried searching in spotlight as well as in the mail app, and the results are iffy at best, especially if it was an email from a while ago. I can't seem to find this topic on the iMore Forums (at least not recent), so maybe it's just me. Is there a way to get this to work better?

As an example, if I have a folder where all my receipts from Apple go, and later I want to find the receipt for a specific movie, I can do a search for the name of the movie in the email app and after waiting a while it often doesn't show up...even if I target only that specific folder. Spotlight doesn't fare any better for me.

Has anyone else had problems searching for mail, or better yet know how to fix it?

The Spotlight search function works great for me. I suppose in your case, it may be best to use the Mail app's search option.

Do you have everything in Settings set correctly for Spotlight?

I have everything switched on including mail. I will get mail results, but usually not what I'm looking for.

Yeah, probably better results using the search bar in Mail.
