Thanks for sharing this article. . . . I don't completely agree with the author, but yes, iCloud Photo Library needs some help.

I wish more than anyone that IPL would work for my needs. I understand it works for a lot of people, but the scalability of the service frightens me. The idea of 5 years from now when I'm working with a new phone needing to download my ENTIRE photo library to my device is scary. (even with the "optimized" version) With Google's announcement yesterday of its new photos service, I'm hoping that Apple has some good news for its photos app during WWDC. A substantial drop in iCloud pricing would be a good place to start.

The new Google Photos is looking like an awesome app, and much easier to organize and use than iCloud Photo Library. And free!
