Switch data over iPhone 5 from iPhone 4S

hi guys,
i just bought the iphone 5 and want to sync from my old 4s from icloud but only the contacts are synced. is that normal or do i have to do anything else so i can syng my messeges, photos and music? thanks in advance

When you first turned the 5 on, it should have eventually come to a screen that said: do you want to restore from iTunes, restore from iCloud, or set up as new?

Which did you pick?

set up as new but i restored backup from itunes and now its ok..thanks

For future reference, the choice to move from one device to a new one is "Restore from iCloud backup or Restore from iTunes backup"

If you select the iCloud backup make sure you are backing up everything, by checking iCloud settings then the backup options.
