Do you have enough space for the backup? Are you on a solid WiFi connection?

Hold the home and power buttons simultaneously until the device reboots and displays the Apple logo.

Well, if you have iTunes installed on your computer, connect your device to it and backup via iTunes. Hopefully, that will somehow clear it up for you and allow you to backup via iCloud again without any problems. I'm almost positive that is what I did when that happened to me a while back.

iCloud: Troubleshooting restore issues with iCloud Backup

As long as you meet the following it should work....

    • is connected to Internet over Wi-Fi
    • is connected to a power source
    • has the screen locked

You can also back up manually whenever your device is connected to Internet over Wi-Fi by choosing Back Up Now from Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.

As the risk of stating the obvious, try turning your device off, wait about 10 seconds then turn it back on. Sometimes something that simple may fix things.

    Good Luck

Give it time. It'll backup at some point. You can try rebooting your iPhone and then attempt to create another iCloud backup. Just put the phone down and let it do its thing. Alternatively, you can backup via iTunes on your computer.
