New to iCloud and I have a few questions...
I did an initial sync to my new 4s (moving from BB) using Google (gmail) just to get the contacts on my phone. I did set up iCloud, and enabled contacts in the sync. I then went to stop syncing contacts with gmail but it said that all synced contacts would be deleted. In theory, that would be OK because the contacts would still be on my iPhone because they are synced with iCloud correct?
Also, I didn't set up an iCloud email. Is there some reason I should? I have my personal and my work email set up through exchange, and could get rid of the gmail one as I don't use it, which is tied in to the question above.
Your insight is appreciated.Overcame my Crackberry addiction by realizing that my device just had to work. If iPhone/iPad owners are sheep, then I just joined the flock.

U don't need to set one up, I don't have one either. As for ur contacts, you'll be fine. They are synced in the cloud.

You need an iCloud account for any kind of iCloud sync or backup, but you don't have to use the email.
