I use Google calendar for my appointments, and recently found that my kids school have the ability to subscribe to their .ics calendar so I can keep up with what's going on. I can do it fine on Google, but when I try to do it on my ipad, it tells me it can't verify the information.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? This is what the instructions say, thus what I'm doing.

iOS
Go to the Settings icon and choose "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
Select "Add Account..."
Select "Other" at the bottom of the list
Select "Add Subscribed Calendar"
In the "Server" field enter the URL of the ICS feed and then click the "Next" button
A detailed dialog window will open. Enter a meaningful description in the "Description" field
Click the "Save" button

I don't get to the "Detailed Dialog window" before it tells me it can't verify the information.

See if this works:
Using Safari go to m.google.com
Then choose your device
Then select the calendars to use.
Hopefully those calendars will be available for you to select.
Good Luck

That didn't work either. I did however find an app called calendars that syncs with my google account. That worked fine but it wasn't a free app. The only thing I don't like about it is I don't see the current date until I open the app.
