Anyone activated the icloud.com email id?

Has anyone managed to activate the new iCloud.com email id?

I logged onto beta.icloud.com (I am on beta 3) and tried creating a new alias (xyz@icloud.com) but it keeps giving me an error "This alias can not be saved at this time."

Anyone faced a similar issue and managed to sort it out?

I just checked on beta.icloud.com and my @me.com address had already been turned into an @icloud one. I then checked my phone and it has been updated, too.
On beta.icloud.com I checked by going into iCloud Mail > Settings > Preferences > Accounts.

My me.com id has not transitioned into an icloud.com one, but when I try adding new alias it gives me an option to add one with @icloud.com extension. Trouble is, it then gives an error saying "This alias can not be saved at this time".

Perhaps Apple is slowly migrating me.com accounts to icloud.com and I should patiently wait for my turn.
