    Default iCloud Email Not Pushing

My iCloud email (old .mac address) is not pushing...hasn't been for weeks...and especially stutters after iOS 5.0.1 and Mac OS X 10.7.3. Ugh. It's as bad as MobileMe, in the areas of push email. Anyone else having this issue?

Mine is not pushing this morning but prior to that it's been fine. It sounds awfully off yours has not pushed in weeks. You have tried removing the account and adding it back on correct?

Not too sure, but have you tried temporarily enabling push (although it is a battery drainer) and then seeing whether there is any movement of data (I am not 100% certain that Push works with the iCloud and not only with older services such as Exchange but it is worth a try).

How to turn on Push and Fetch:

I can sit on my computer, send them, watch them arrive in the iCloud email, but my phone never gets them. Anyone else having the issue STILL? anyone have a fix? My computer emails works fine, it seems to only be on the phone...

Try resetting your network settings and/or cycling off your device and then cycling it back on.

I encounter this issue from time to time. It was pushing fine yesterday, but isn't pushing today.

there are something like 40 pages of discussions on apple forums about this, I'm trying to see if anyone here has had issues and resolved them in a permanent manner, no one on the other forums has really, it comes down to DNS servers and strange things like that, which have nothing really to do with whats going on... I too blame something with apple's servers, but just getting a feeler on who else is stuck in the same boat as I am

Yep, on the Apple Discussion forums, the most successful solution (albeit not a good one) is to close the mail app each time you're done with mail, and it seems to reset the daemon that is listening for new emails. Otherwise it's flaky - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Been a problem since MobileMe introduced the idea of pushing .mac/.me email in 2008.

well after a length discussion at an apple store, it got passed to their "other help desk" who is now forwarding it to an "engineer"....
i've gotten rid of the jailbreak, upgraded to 5.1.1... restored as a NEW phone, reloaded all my apps etc, and still no go... guess I'm stuck on fetch schedule forever.
