Photos not all going to phone

Hope you all can help. I signed up for iCloud, and when I put my old pics in the photstream album, it stops uploading about half way through. It was a large number of photos. Out of about 500, it stops going to my phone after 341. It is the second time it happened. Not sure what is going on. I don't think it is a memory issue as my total memory used is less than 1 gig. It isn't a memory issue on my phone either. Any help would be appreciated.
