I use it, but just to backup my iPhone. Don't have an iPad or a Mac yet as I game on my PC mostly.

I use it all and love it. Earlier today, I deactivated my Google account so iCloud is now primary for me and everything syncs without a hitch.

Neither. I will be getting the iPad 3 next month, though. Do I really need iCloud if I still use iTunes?

You can do away with iTunes if you use iCloud and all that it provides. Unless you want podcasts, then you'd have to sync to iTunes for those.
