As we all know, iOS has always had a Native clock app which has many features, and one of them is a Timer. It has many uses from cooking to a quick nap. You set it, and it will remind you with an alarm sound that you pick under the "When Timer Ends" menu.
How-to as follows: tap on the clock app, select Timer on the bottom right of the screen, then set the desired time by spinning the time wheels. You can use the default alarm sound or tap the "When Timer Ends" option, and select your tone. When your ready to go, just hit the green Start button. You don't need to stay in the app, and closing it will not stop the timer so you're free to use your device. The Timer will run in the background.
What's new and interesting is the lockscreen Count Down feature that let's you see your Timer in real time at a glance without having to constantly open the clock app. Use and Enjoy
