Gmail imap not pushing

I have 2 gmail accounts on my phone, one is set up via exchange and the other regular imap. The exchange account pushes nice and fast, but the imap one won't push. If I open the app it'll download mail, or if I get an exchange message itll pull down the imap ones also. In settings it is set to push.

Any ideas?

I didn't set the second account to exchange because it's mostly a junk mail account and there's no contacts or calendars associated. Should I just switch it to exchange? Anyone else having problems with imap?

Gmail only pushes on the iPhone with Exchange. Won't push with IMAP.

Pardon the question that I'm sure has been answered a billion times elsewhere.

Can I have multiple Exchange accounts set up on the phone, so long as I only use one to sync calendar and contacts?
