Default Some Specific Questions About The Objective-C Language.

    Hi guys.
I have some self taught experience with C++, PHP, and a few scripting languages. So I don't know much because I have no "specialization", and I am still one or two years ago of college.

So I have a few questions about the Objective-C language:

    - Does it have (painful) pointers like C++?
    - I have seen a bit of its syntax, and it looks really weird. Is it easy to get used to it after having experience with C++/PHP?

    Thanks for your time!

    Yes it has pointers.
Syntax is quite different, lots and lots of [square [brackets]].

I remember what it was like learning pointers for the first time when I was learning C and C++, but I'm happy to say that since I've been using Objective-C, the pointers are actually not nearly as painful. Maybe I'm just more used to memory management at this point, but but in Obj-C you have to deal with a lot of memory management but a lot of it can be with the autorelease pool, which you'll learn about.

The syntax is weird but it really just takes a couple days to get used to and it's second nature.
