So the original iPhone charging cable split near the phone end and I could see some wire inside so I figured I better get a new cable. I opted for the 6 foot BlackWeb brand at Walmart. Now at $26 Cdn it's not exactly "cheap" but I'm glad I got the longer length and it is really well made and good quality.

Also opted for a new Bluetooth speaker and it has great bass for the price!! I used a Headrush brand speaker for a few years but the battery got worse and worse after a year or so and eventually it got to the point where it always had to be plugged in! Just tired of dealing with it so I bit the bullet.

What kind of Bluetooth speaker do you use and how long has the battery lasted????

I had a Bose Bluetooth speaker that I gave to my oldest son. With that in mind, I simply use my Bluetooth Vizio sound bar for listening to music when I'm not using a headset.

People tell me Bose are the best and I priced one out but I wasn't going to pay $139 Cdn for it :p. It's just nutty how the prices have skyrocketed here for them...these used to be $69 and I thought THAT was a lot!

I purchased one of those then took it back and got the SoundLink Mini II. Although it was loud, it wasn't as loud as I had hoped. My oldest son saw it and liked it so I gave it to him. Besides, I typically listen to music via a headset, but during the times I don't, my Vizio sound bar is more than sufficient FOR ME...??????

I thought it was pretty loud, I Demo'd it at Bestbuy about a year ago. For an apartment it was more than I could need.

I assume the Vizio was for a tv and it does double duty as a Bluetooth speaker?

So I also see that my new speaker is NFC compatable. So does anyone know if the iphone has NFC????? I know that my Bold 9900 that I still like to use has NFC, I turned on the feature on the BLackberry, tapped the speaker a few times but it would not connect, so I assume I am missing something simple?

But yes it would be cool about NFC on the iphone, I don't think I have ever recalled seeing anything for "NFC" in apple settings???
