Contacts added in my i phone are getting updated in android device.

all the contacts added to my i phone device is visible in my android device as well. What is the reason?

How did you "add" them to your iPhone? Are they synced to a GMail account?

If the answer is yes ^^, simply go to Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars and disable contacts and when prompted, choose Keep Contacts.
