Can receive text but can't send any out

I can receive text messages but I cannot send text messages

Welcome to iMore! Try to reset your device by holding the power button and home button down simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo. If you're still having an issue after that go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind you'll have to re-enter any stored wifi passwords.
