once have had my screen fixed will my texts messages still be there

smashed my screen,just wondering if my text messages that have been sent while its been smashed and I couldn't read them,will I get them once I get my screen fixed.

If you backed your device using encryption on iTunes then restore iPad the messaged should be there.
