how do i type a short cut word and have change to full word?

Type DR and it changes automatically to Doctor

Go to Settings → General → Keyboards → Text Replacement

Tap the "+" sign
In the "Phrase" section, type "Doctor"
In the "Shortcut" section, type "dr".
Select "Save"

@@ gets my main email
@@@ gets my alternate email
@@@@ gets my work email

One of my most used text replacements.
