Re: cover on back of magic mouse
Need to change the batteries on my mouse but cannot get the back off. Button that allows it to open is stuck in place.
Any suggestions??
My suggestion would be to take a plastic putty knife and try exerting just a bit more pressure on it. Maybe try a good stiff credit card. It is a minimal amount of movement required of the button to open it. Not trying to be a jerk here (if you are new to the mouse), but you are trying to go in the proper direction to open it. The button should be pushed toward to back of the mouse, not towards the front.
Once you have it open, I would thoroughly look it over to see what was causing it to stick. Possible the batteries corroded. I had that happen to a mouse once. Made it hard but not impossible to open the cover. Took a while to clean it up and make it usable again. Hope you get it open and my suggestions help you. Good Luck!
