Why did my notes under some contact names disappear when I transferred to new phone?

My notes under some contact names have disappeared when I transferred to new phone

I have one contact in particular that any new note I put in it disappears after 10 - 15 minutes. This is extremely frustrating as I use the notes under the individual contact to store helpful information. Why does it keep disappearing? I tried the reboot suggestion. I tried the turn off contacts in Facebook suggestion. So far nothing is working.

Welcome to iMore! I really don't know. Are there 2 contacts with these? Scroll down and see if there's an iCloud and a Gmail. If so, tap on both and see if the Notes are on one of them.
