put a descriptor with the photo to remember what it is.

I am doing genealogy and importing pix of ancestors and other items. How do I attach a descriptor of the pix to the photo?

Welcome to iMore! Not sure I understand what you want. Do you want to put text on the photos with a brief description of who, when etc? If so, I woukd use the app Phonto. It works great for this.
