Finger print recognition, how can I get the backup password?

Finger print recognition

As explained above, installed finger print recognition and now locked out as in is asking for a passcode that I didn't think I required with finger print recognition. Don't recoil putting in passcode, and if I did, don't have it recorded anywhere. Have been informed the only way is to wipe phone clean and loose all data.

You have been informed correctly.

If you do not know the passcode, you will have to wipe the device. Hopefully, you have a recent backup.
