Is it leaving all behind or purchase a new iphone and stay as it is

My friends who are residing in Toronto are inviting me for a while now to follow them there and I am considering to go. What are my chances of getting a job there that is similar to the my chosen field of work? I've been a self employed plumber for a decade. And wanted to buy iphone also. I'm confused between going out or purchase a new iphone and stay as is.
