This usually refers to that 5 or more digit number (or number and letter) code that is used in your postal mailing address.

Example of a US postal code is 08402 (my family shore house)

Example of a UK postal code is SW1A 1AA (Buckingham Palace)

Welcome to iMore! Make sure you have the correct country selected for your address. As @pkcable stated, different countries have different codes (if any) that are used to designate what munipicality you live in.

The actual postal code is the four digits after your zip code in the US. It's rarely used

Post code is similar to zip code. In English it's zip code in other languages it's another word. Germanic languages use post code but some other countries write it in their own language.
