How do I get dates on photos on my iPad?

I want to organize photos in date order but the photos on my iPad don't have dates on them??

1. Initiate the Photos app.
2. Select "Photos" at the top or bottom of the screen.
3. If you're under the "Moments" heading, your photos should be separated by date.

The photos in "All Photos" should already be in order by date on your iPad. You can see the date taken by tapping on the photo and the date will display at the top of the screen:


If you have a batch that you have in an album vs. in All Photos, you can arrange those by going into the album, tap Select at the top right, then Select All at the top left, and then tap and hold a photo to drag it. It won't display the date, but if you know a group of photos needs to be together, you can move them around by checking dates as shown above. There does not seem to be any "sort by date" button other than what is in the default of All Photos.
