Not getting Notifications from email. But once I tap on email icon they show up. Why is it doing this?

Not getting Notifications from email. But once I tap on email icon they show up.

I have the Allow Notifications button on. Again getting emails but not the ding on phone until I tap the envelope Icon that everything seems to get downloaded and ring comes on??

check your email setting is it a push account or fetch ? it sounds like a fetch account , check to see how often it is fetching your email.

You can set to fetch every 15 minutes. You probably have it on manually.
