Has anyone bought an iPhone from Sam's Club?

Background:

We have a Verizon family share plan thing with 5 lines, and 15GB Data. I have been out of contract for about 6 months now and would like to upgrade from an iPhone 5 to a 6S+. I will be doing a lot of business travel and think I would prefer the larger screen and it would lessen the need for me to also bring a personal laptop or additional tablet for general stuff.

Question:

I was in Sam's Club yesterday and the sales girl was showing me that the brand new iPhones are $200 cheaper at Sam's as opposed to buying at Apple or Verizon. The one I was looking at was $749 vs $949 MSRP.

Has anyone bought a phone from Sam's and had any issues getting it activated on Verizon etc?

This is all new to me.

Also, if I back up my 5 to my PC, and then plug in my new 6S+, everything will be put back on it from the PC... is that how it works?

No but anything is possible at these Big Box warehouse stores.

Backup your 5 to iCloud and then you will be able to restore that data to your new phone if you wish.

You can also do it through iTunes if you desire.
