Is it legal to use api of other sites like soundcloud

I was thinking about developing an app which will call API of different mp3 streaming sites and let the use download the songs of every language.Is it legal to do so?if no then how can i proceed so as to develop the site which is legal and i dont want to create a database as it will take a lifetime to develop that.Please help

Have you asked those other sites if it is legal to use their APIs in this manner?

Welcome to iMore! Using another app's API is generally illegal unless the developer specifically states otherwise.

I'm not an attorney, however, you cannot simply give away songs created by other people. Those songs are not your property to disperse however you see fit. Artists, just like any other working person, deserve to be paid for their labor and therefore, in my opinion, unless you get permission from the artists or their legal representative to disperse their material for free, you will eventually find yourself in legal trouble.
