How do I know if a video went through in my text?

I was reading a text that was sent to me and was interrupted by someone talking to me. While my attention was diverted by the person talking to me, I accidentally hit the camera button with my thumb and inadvertently took a video of myself talking to this other person. It freaked me out as I didn't know what had recorded and also if it had been sent to the person whose text I was reading. I'm new to iPhone. Anyway, I backed out and now the video is gone. My question is... was the video sent? And where is it now? I can't see it anywhere. Thank you.

Assuming your talking about the instant video accessed from the iMessage thread?

If you didn't take a long enough video it will not show up in the message block or your camera roll
