While my iPad was missing I put it into erase mode after the battery went dead. Can the erase mode be stopped?

While my Ipad was missingn I put into erase mode after the battery went dead.

The battery was dead when I got the Ipad back a month later. Can the erase mode be stopped/removed, can the information be saved prior to charging it up? I'm quite illiterate concerning computers

Just charge it up, and when it powers on, you might get a chance to cancel the erase...if you don't, just live with it and restore the last available backup and you'll be fine.
