Update Flag on App Store Won't Go Away

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1.2. There is a red flag on my App Store app indicating that an app update is available. However, all of my apps are up to date and the flag is still there. I tried a reset, already. Flag's still there. How else can I get rid of it?

I wonder if its there because there is an update for an app but because you are not on ios 8 it cant update...

I would look for the capability under the app information to see if you need to run iOS 8 or above to update the apps like member phreddyl mentioned.

Have you recently bought something in App store or in a game ? Maybe your payment didn't go through check your receipts

Had same problem. Went into settings, notifications, unchecked badge notifications. Pain in the you know what.

Is there an app that won't update? I have one on my old iPhone 5. It no longer supports the 5.
