Iphone battery not holding charge?

My iPhone battery is not holding charge for longer than 15 minutes,,

I left it charging for 3 hours today and it never fully charged (stopped at 60%) then i unplugged it and used it and 15 minutes later it died, any suggestions?

Is it still under warranty? Take it to an Apple Store.

I have iPhone 4s and warranty has expired.

I would think you have three options:

1. Order a replacement battery and replace it yourself (look at i fixit.com)
2. Find somewhere to get the battery replaced.
3. Get a new iPhone, as the 4s is almost 4 years old.
