Is Apple Email Unsecure?

Apple Plans to Encrypt iCloud Email in Transit Between Providers - Mac Rumors

Just read his article and I am not 100% what it means, but should I be concerned? I got a iPhone over two years ago and created a iCloud email account (@me). I have been using it as my primary email address, but this article makes me think that it has been totally unsecure?

Nothing to be too concerned about. Email in general is an extremely insecure method of communication. Unless you are using some sort of encryption YOURSELF, your email contents will be exposed somewhere along its path.

Ok great. It had me worried for a while. What are your thoughts on iCloud email compared to Gmail or Yahoo Mail? I wish they would update the iCloud.com mail interface...

I trust my iCloud account over my pop accounts and use it for important E-mails that I send and receive
