From the article I just read it was pretty much as I thought and if it is accurate on the worth of an IP5 trade price and i have a 4S, I will be selling my privately but will make my purchase of the new phone at my local Apple store out of preference and is how I bought my 4S. Good experience = return customer.

I too, sell privately. You can do sooo much better money wise going the private route.
Good idea on their part though to make it in-store for the convenience factor. It would have been nice if they offered a little bit more though.

I purchased my 64GB iPhone 5 a year ago for $400. I just sold it for $600. Can you say, "Hello iPhone 5s"?
The trade-in program is a joke as far as I'm concerned. I will continue to sell privately and use the money to get the new iPhone every year.
