Hmmm, I usually put my necessary apps on the first screen followed by the rest on the second screen. The few games I have are on my third screen. Although I have downloaded and tested out numerous apps, the ones I keep on my device are the ones I actually use. What about you? In the meantime, read what how the iMore staff members maintain their devices.

Very enjoyable read =) I was shocked that there is someone out there as 'weird' as me, I can really identify with nearly all of allyson's traits (and a few others as well) . . nice personal touch

So, apparently no jb'ers among the bunch?

My main page is blank so I can enjoy my daily wallpaper habit. Page two is my daily used apps and a folder to hold my apps to review. I have that on page two, because that is where Apple feels the need to place newly downloaded apps. Page three contains all of my other apps and page four is dedicated to my unused Newstand app.

I like the idea of a folder to contain apps to be reviewed. Thanks for the tips.

Yeah, I use AppShopper so I download a lot of apps. Many are not great and I don't keep on my phone, but I like to at least give them a shot. So with a "review" folder I can go in when I have time and try them out.

Well, I'm definitely going to incorporate your tip because I, too, test various apps, and your method makes a lot of sense. Thanks again...

Most used apps on the home screen. I go through phases of having my apps out of folders or all the homepage in folders. It just depends on when I get tires of opening folders. I don't like more than 3 home screens. I update apps immediately as I despise the notification bubble. I keep my sounds default like every iPhone on TV. And I'm always changing cases and going caseless until I find a nice balance of protection, minimalism and flashiness. I also have the keyboard clicks on, used to bother me but then it grew on me, nice way to know when I'm actually hitting keys.

Both my lock screen and home screen backgrounds are solid black. That's probably a little strange to most.

I keep my most used apps on the first page and everything else sort of piles up on the other pages. When I start to run out of room, I delete stuff and usually organize the remaining into folders by type of app.

Only one folder on my home page - Weather , which contains Weather Underground, Weather Channel & Yahoo Weather (love the sunrise/sunset animation.

This might be boring, but I prefer the stock wallpaper that came on the phone on both screens. Yes, I have OCD.

What I do is simply organise EVERYTHING into folders. Doesn't have to be alphabetical but in folders. Same goes for everything else I'm using at the time.

I dont have a reason for why my apps/folders are arranged they way they are - its something that evolved over time... BUT, if anything is out of its assigned location, I freak out. Its like I somehow dont think I can find it if it moves. (Credit muscle memory for that)... but my iPhone, iPad and iPod all have the same apps in the same location.

The stuff I use daily/regularly are on the first page, 2nd page is all folders of similar apps, again, no discernible order for apps/folders or within folders - but if an app or folder gets moved, I go nuts until its back where it "belongs".

I do like the idea of a REVIEW folder... and will try to implement that, if my OCD allows it.

And for the record: Im not OCD. Im not OCD. Im not OCD.

BTW, my wife's apps/folders are completely random and in a constant state of flux... dont know why I married that woman.

You just described me..even the black background i use. I pretty much use spotlight though to open apps or the task switcher.

That said, I'd be more open to keeping things better organized if Apple would improve things.

I have found that everything on one screen works for me. Jail broken, so I can put the icons where I like them, plus the five icon dock at the bottom.

Also have the Newstand erased with swipe left search off. I love it all on one screen, with folders obviously.

Most used on homescreen (5 in dock and 5 top unless I'm using infinidock cause I'm using a superb wallpaper!) Social is on second (tweetbot, few games, Facebook, Pinterest etc); third is Tools (jailbreak apps, folder w/maps calculator clock etc)...fourth is newsstand and native apps in folders
