I'm not interested in buying a touch enabled Windows 8 PC. The last thing I would buy is a touch enabled Mac that cost 3 times more.

I think the Magic Trackpad on the MacBook is just about the perfect touch interface. I would rather have my hands remain at the keyboard level that having to keep raising and lowering them to tap stuff on the screen. Plus I can't imagine touching the screen would be the most accurate way to interface with a laptop. They would have to enlarge all the possible targets which would eat way too much screen real estate to be worth the trade off, IMO.
