Apple allowing two step authentication
Read all about it: iMore's write-up
Ally's How-To: Ally's How to set up 2-step verification
Apple Support doc:
Set-up allowed only if your current AppleID password meets requirements of at least 8 characters - one of which has to be a number, and another a capital letter... if you change your password today to meet that standard, you will have a waiting period to complete the set-up process.Last edited by kch50428; 03-21-2013 at 05:11 PM. Re: Apple allowing two step authentication
My password was already at the correct strength. However when I logged into set up the 2-step, it said my password was expired and I had to set a new one. So I guess that's why I have to wait 3 days.

Re: Apple allowing two step authentication
Very good read on the blog side as well as the How To by Ally who dies a great job. For anyone who wants more security protection it is worth doing this. I did it last night and was pleased with the process.

Re: Apple allowing two step authentication
I need to set this up. Right now I'm trying to remember my darn security questions.. Anyone know how to reset them? I tried to do it by signing in to my apple ID but I didn't see a reset option.

Re: Apple allowing two step authentication
Yeah I think that's what I will have to do. I wonder what happen to the email support they had? If I had a issue it was easy to just email apple support to get my problem solved. Oh well.
Also thanks D I tried that article but was still having problems. I'm going to just call them to get it fixed.
