Re: Apple reduces its LCD panel order to half due to iPhone 5 weak demand
I sense foulness afoot. Apple does not speak of these things. People that know, don't talk - and the people talking don't really know. And these are the first of many, many rumors to come in the months to follow. The only stuff to believe is that which quotes Apple employees by name.

Apple reduces its LCD panel order to half due to iPhone 5 weak demand
Apple doesn't comment on rumors and isn't concerned about short term stock price changes. They release information a few times a year at events and quarterly during earnings reports. The stock will surge back up when Apple releases their next official numbers.

Apple reduces its LCD panel order to half due to iPhone 5 weak demand
Apple isn't concerned with short term fluctuations. They have a strategy for 2013 and that involves an earnings report this month. That should straighten up these rumors and stock losses.

Interesting...
Apple can’t respond to rumors of iPhone 5 cuts even if it wanted to

I’ve been asked a lot today why Apple hasn’t responded to the Wall Street Journal article saying that there have been massive cuts to iPhone 5 orders. The simple fact is, they can’t.
SEC rules prohibit Apple from talking publicly about the company. This is known as a quiet period and all publicly traded companies must adhere to these rules.
The Wall Street Journal can publish more of its “according to a person familiar with the matter” and there isn’t a lot Apple can say.
Apple is scheduled to release its Q1 2013 earnings on January 23, 2013 — next Wednesday.Keith - iMore Moderator - The Mobile Nations/iMore Forum Rules

Re: Apple reduces its LCD panel order to half due to iPhone 5 weak demand
When the Figures come out on January 23 as for the amount of iPhone five Apple sold you will see that this is nonsense and that they will normally reduce their inventory for the week months of January February March

Apple reduces its LCD panel order to half due to iPhone 5 weak demand
I don't think it's cause people are waiting for BlackBerry 10. The rumors were clearly dispelled yesterday with the earnings and sales reports. Millions upon millions of iPhones sold this past quarter. The only people waiting for BlackBerry 10 are the 10 faithful BB users, the CrackBerry team, and a bunch of executives that don't understand how to use an iPhone.
