Game center alerts going to iPad instead of iPhone

Ok so my friends has his game center ID on his iPhone and iPad but the invites for games like air wings are going to his iPad how do we get the invites to go to the iPhone first. Thanks.

I don't use Game Center and therefore, my question may be ignorant, but anyway, could it be a Wi-Fi only thing?

no they are both on wifi we are just looking for a way to get the invites to the iphone not the ipad. Will he have to put a different gamecenter id on the ipad?

log out the Game Center account in iPad.. just log in again if you want to use it....
