It's not so much about Comcast as it is the market you live in. Comcast Xfinity is just as fast as yuks internet in *some* US markets. I believe they offer a 500/500 option in some markets.

What kind of connection is it? FTTH, ADSL or cable? If cable, check your cables. Use 1 cable from your main cable to the router, check the connectors. If problem still exists, buy new high end cables. It costs like $3 dollars per 3ft, but your connection will improve drastically.

I had to rewire everything to get this quality

Comcast just sucks in general. We bought everything except the modem (which they supply), and we actually have FASTER internet than most people around here.

Now we're talking. This is more like it, I just had to find the best server to do a speedtest on. Seems like the nearest server isn't always the fastest.
