I did, I get this right after doing a restore. iTunes says I have 2400 songs sync'd to my iPhone but when I look on my iPhone is says 0.

Did the sync complete successfully? Did it get interrupted any?

Erase with no restore. It's pain but you might need to do that...

You will have to wait till it's completely done restoring the backup, and unplug and re-plug your device back to your computer/Mac.

It will then show the right info in that bar. This happened to me a lot, too

That's amputating your arm because you broke your nails. It's better to follow my advice first

Too late I was already in the process of restoring as new. Oh well :/
