Why are messages from my Facebook going to my cell phone?

I only use my Cell phone for Emergencies.......how can I eliminate these messages from my Facebook page into my cell phone and also on my Yahoo?? This has just started up within the last week or so that all these Facebook messages are on my phone, on my Yahoo page and on Facebook, too.......

Hoe exactly are the messages going to your cellphone ? Text messages ? Messenger app?
Go to Facebook on you computer and on settings disable all the notifications for email...

If you give Facebook your phone number, you may get notifications via iMessage. There should be an "unsubscribe".
